Most browsers provide a mode of usage which: (i) has no cached data when a new tab is opened; and (ii) deletes all data cached for a tab when the tab is closed. This mode is not suitable for general-purpose browsing [where you may want to preserve data that the browser places on your device (desktop, laptop, notebook, table, smartphone, etc.)], but may be ideal for browsing our website, as our server does not place any data on your device. Private browsing can be accessed from your browser's menu.
We emphasize that you must open a new private tab to obtain a web page from our server. All of the browsers mentioned below have facilities to delete tabs (both private and standard) when they are no longer of use to you, and you should do this cleanup to reduce the amount of memory that your device allocates to your browser(s).
Android systems:
Chrome: Tap the ⋮ icon and then tap New
Incognito tab. Enter the URL (https://lrn-en.org
or
that of your student page) to load the page from our server.
To return to standard (non-Incognito) tabs, tap the number in the square at the top right of your screen and then the number in the square in the middle of your screen.
Firefox: Tap the number in the square on the top right of
your screen, then tap the private tab icon (the mask) to enter private
browsing mode. Tap the + PRIVATE button at the bottom
right of your screen to open a new private tab. Enter the URL
(https://lrn-en.org
or that of your student page).
To return to standard tabs, tap the number in the square at the top right of your screen and then the number in the square at the left of your screen.
Apple systems:
Chrome: Tap the ⋯ icon at the bottom right of your
screen, and then New Incognito Tab. Enter the URL
(https://lrn-en.org
or that of your student page).
To return to standard tabs, tap the number in the square at the bottom right of your screen and then the number in the square at the center of your screen.
Firefox: Tap the number in the square at the bottom
right of your screen, then tap the mask icon. Next, tap the +
icon at the bottom right of your screen to open a new Private
Browsing tab. Enter the URL (https://lrn-en.org
or that
of your student page).
To return to standard tabs, tap the number in the square at the bottom right of your screen (which will now have a mask icon attached to it) and then the number in the square at the top left of your screen.
Safari: Tap the "two squares" icon at the bottom right
of your screen. If you see Start Page at the bottom center of
your screen, tap it and then tap Private; if you see
Private at the bottom center of your screen you are already in
Private mode. Open a new tab by tapping on the + icon at
the bottom left of your screen, and enter the URL
(https://lrn-en.org
or that of your student page).
To return to standard tabs, tap the "two squares" icon at the bottom right of your screen, then tap Private, tap Start Page and then tap Done.
Windows systems:

need to open an Incognito mode window: click on the ⋮
icon and then click on New Incognito window, or, instead,
simultaneously hold down the Ctrl, Shift and n
keys; then enter the URL (https://lrn-en.org
or that of
your student page). If you are already in Incognito mode, click

the URL (https://lrn-en.org
or that of
your student page). If you are already in Private mode, click

In this case, please: (i) try to find other instructions for your operating system and browser combination by (safe!) experimentation or using an Internet search engine such as Google; and (ii) if you succeed in finding a method to perform a reload, please let us know how you did it so that we can post your procedure here for the benefit of other users.
